About the Event
It was a great joy and honor to host Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren at such a key moment – Salinas and the Salinas Valley have just become part of the district she has represented since 1994! In the beautiful Harden Foundation Garden, Congresswoman Lofgren shared her insider’s view of the legislative process -- and her perspective on our most pressing issues such as immigration, housing, and health care with both wit and wisdom. Congresswoman Lofgren was also eager to learn much more about us. NAMC members representing the arts, environment, education, health and human services, social services, and youth development programs obliged with thoughtful questions and great ideas of their own.
